Chopping wood, push-ups, pull-ups, dips, and lunges.....(combat training) should be the workout program for all fighters.

Why do so many fighters concentrate on weight lifting? Because they get an advantage from it. If there were no advantage, they wouldn't do it. As you know, fighters are always looking for that extra edge. These days, weight lifing is considered a necessary part of training.
