Arizona Hires Next General Manager of the Diamondbacks

PHOENIX - The search for the next general manager of the Diamondbacks has come to an end. The assistant general manager of the Red Sox, Josh Byrnes, is now the new general manager of the Diamondbacks.
According to league officials, Byrnes’ press conference will be carried on ESPN and is expected to be tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 PM.

Byrnes, 32, is a Harvard graduate and was one year ahead of Dodger’s general manager Paul Depodesta. At Harvard he majored in English and was also a college athlete while playing baseball.

Neither King or Byrnes was available for comment after the announcement.
