OK. Lets do this right.
Paolino Uzcudun was born in the wild Basque country of northern Spain. At the age of 24, after a brief career as a champion lifter of large boulders, he joined the ranks of professional boxers and soon made a name for himself as a tough brawler with a granite chin and little finesse. After running wild through Europe, he sailed to America to fight their best. He fared better against men like himself who relied on slugging than slick boxers and clutch-and-grab boys who bewildered him. The high points of his career were likely the title fight with Primo Carnera and wins over Max Baer and Harry Wills. He also knocked out several world-class fighters including Phil Scott, Paul Journee, Quinton Romero Rojas, Frank Goddard, Homer Smith, Ludwig Haymann, Soldier Jones, and Les Kennedy.
