Jason King has decided to keep Frank Robinson as manager
KING RETAINS ROBINSON
New general manager Jason King announced today that current manager Frank Robinson would be retained and will reamain the manager of the Nationals. Robinson has been with the club for the last three years and has posted a 233-253 record as their manager. The Expos, now the Nationals, were 83-79 in his first two seasons and last season they dropped to 67-95, which was good for last in the NL East.
Jason was found commenting, "Frankie is a really, really good baseball man. Even if we didn't want him back he would have remained because it is so late in the season, but this decision was solely based on what was good for the team. Me and Frank sat down yesterday and I knew instantly that he needed to remain."
Robinson was not found for comment.
