1877 - Chambers gains his revenge
Arthur Chambers travelled to Toronto to relieve Harry Gilmore of his WBF Lightweight crown. It was 'sweet revenge' for Chambers who dropped Gilmore five times before the referee intervened in the 11th round.
Chambers subsequently promised Gilmore a 'decider' in their rubber if Gilmore was willing to travel back to London and first defeat the luckless Billy Edwards.
