The Giants didn't have a real good year back '83, but I think they are going to make a series out of this.
The '83 Giants...have a pretty decent lineup, with the exception of their 2B and SS...But they have a decent amount of power, and you can never underestimate the managing of Frank Robinson.
The lineups are very close, but my edge will go to the Indians. They have a little more pop and in a long series sometimes you need a quick run or a lucky game, and pop helps.

The pitching Staff's are close as well. And to think the Giants finished 5th (79-83) and the Indians finished 1st (97-65) in their divisions. If this series is decided by starting pitching, the Indians win by a smidge if it is decided by the bullpen the Giants win by a tad more than a smidge.

What goes against the '83 Giants? Well for one Johnnie LeMaster, the reason I picked this team

, is quite possibly the only person to play for 3 last place teams in the same year! (look it up). And they also have the 2nd to last 20 game LOSER on the team, in Brian Kingman...what do they have going for them? Well they do have a guy named Champ on their team, that should count for something. They one of three players born in Jamiaca. And they have Greg Minton. Whats his significance? Well I played ball in college with his son, and was lucky enough to get to take BP off the guy, and he has a NASTY slider.
What goes against the '99 Indians? Well I am not sure...but the rumors are Manny wants out. Doc Gooden was seen downtown with Darryl Strawberry. And Wil Cordero's wife, well nevermind I don't want to go there...What is for these Indians? Not sure. The only I see is they have Mark Whiten, and he has one of my favorite nicknames...Mark Hard Hitten Whiten, it just rolls off your tounge.
My prediction...1983 Giants 10-9...
(I am going out on a limb)
