I find Puresim's interface really thick and difficult to navigate. I could never maintain my interest in the detail required to start a league. However I'll grant that my time spent on Puresim has been minimal. What does it for OOTP IMO is the simplicity of the interface over the player development algorithm. I quickly found out that fictional leagues were much more satisfying to me. Watching a big time prospect tank or a medium talent 8th round pick become a solid player later in his career is great. I'm not saying Puresim can't do it, I just never got that far.
One concern I have about OOTP BM2006 is the level of complexity may reduce the ease of just simming or just playing the game.
