I for one, like the idea. I think that a whole page devoted to player landmarks would be cool. Something along the lines of balls/bats/gloves in a display case marking their first hit, homerun, gold glove, batting title, etc. Although this may be to ITP for OOTP.
Nonetheless, I think you have a great idea that would be fun to look at to see how OOTP people perform on their debut day.

Good ideas. If i may add to that.
i'd like to see something that shows his ratings at his peak, if not year to year. IRL we can remember how great Ozzie Smith or a Paul Molitor or a Steve Carlton was. But in this version of the game, the player continues deteriorate. So ten years after they retire their ratings are 1/1/1, instead being able to say wow this guys was great defensive shortstop or a great hitter or had great stuff.
