Two of the best teams and two of the best twirlers tangled in a tense tussle...when it was over, Carl Hubbell was King of the Hill and got the best of the first place Pirates and Ray Kremer...Hubbell hurled a masterful 3-hit shutout, whiffing 5 and walking none...Kremer only gave up one run and rung up 10 batters in a tough loss...Bill Terry (.317) doubled in the game-winner in the seventh and Hubbell squeezed in the second one in the ninth.
