With the mid year Mandatory eliminators coming up for the Heavyweight division, Alfio Righetti would try to make hay while sun shines by defending his belt just six weeks after his successful defense over Denver Ed Martin (KO11, April 1903). This time his opponent would be German Walter Neusel, number 8 in last months WWBU rankings. Also this month, the dream for Welterweight contenders gets closer as the WW Title Tournament gets underway. The choice match up is the Felix Trinidad/Sharmba Mitchell fight with many pundits expecting a lively and entertaining fight. The other semi-final is no slouch either with Packy McFarland the heavy favorite against Reuben Shank.
