13rd July - MSG

FW - Solly Smith (9-1) UD10 Frank Maguire (1-7)

HW - George Godfrey (14-12) UD10 Jake Kilrain (11-12-2)

WW - Jack C McGee (15-5) TKO7 Billy Myer (19-8)
Myer is dramatically stopped in the 7th after dominating the earlier rounds

LW - Bobby Dobbs (12-0) TKO5 Andy Bowen (13-9)
Dobbs had no problem with this move up in class. After finding his rythm in the early rounds he 'riped' into Bowen in the 4th round and carried on through the 5th until referee Edwards had seen enough.

USBA Middleweight Title

WBF World Middleweight Title Final Eliminator

Jack Dempsey (Holder)(16-2) KO11 Jack Fogarty (14-4-1)

Dempsey made a conclusive defence of his USBA Title and therefore ended the 10 fight unbeaten run of Jack Fogarty.

The holder was on top from the opening bell and dominated throughout. In the eleventh round Fogarty was out on his feet by the time Dempsey landed a huge right cross which put an end to proceedings.

Dempsey held a clear advantage on all cards at the time of the stoppage, and will now meet LaBlanche for the World crown, LaBlanche is responsible for the two defeats on Dempsey's record.

WBF World Middleweight Title

George LaBlanche (Holder)(14-4-1) KO14 Pete McCoy (9-10-2)

LaBlanche made a 5th successful defence of his world crown in his normal 'crowd pleasing' fashion. McCoy had already hit the canvas twice before a big uppercut from 'the Marine' ended the fight.

LaBlanche used his uppercut to great effect throughout the bout and was comfortably ahead on all cards when the bout ended.

LaBlanche will now meet No.1 Contender and old foe Jack Dempsey in his next defence, probably in November.
