One correction to make with regards to the Mexican League:

I believe the points awarded for the position of finish in each half of the season are actually as follows (at least, the following were used in 2004):

1st - 8 points
2nd - 7 points
3rd - 6½ points
4th - 6 points
5th - 5½ points
6th - 5 points
7th - 4½ points
8th - 4 points

The same point distribution is used in the Mexican Pacific Winter League.
