ALLTIME ALLSTAR ASSOCIATION

Game Five is set for Monday, September 15 in the AAA World Series. The Pirates and Yankees have split the first four ballgames. Forbes Field is the site with the second game starters getting the nod again. The Bucs' Sam Leever bested NY's Whitey Ford 5-2 in that one.

Leever was 15-11 with a fine 2.97 ERA during the regular season. Ford finished at 14-10 and 3.44.

Casey Stengel says he thinks his lefties will still do the job. Red Rolfe will get the start at 3B for the Yankees. This was a troubled spot for New York the whole season. Tony Lazzeri, Graig Nettles, Tom Tresh and Rolfe all got shots at it, but no one could settle in and hold on to it. Casey pretty much platooned all of them.

Danny Murtaugh will go with his righthanded lineup. He will continue to use Bill Mazeroski at second base with Honus Wagner playing first. Willie Stargell will sit on the bench. He has been at first during the last weeks of the season to give the Pirates a little longball power. Maz's defense has been outstanding in the series so far and he has contributed some timely hits, too.
