well, it looks like the expansion teams did better than what they did in the FABL.
One note: Ed Kranepool was also fittingly drafted by the Mets in the FABL Ammy draft of 1962, but he had to come straight to the majors and was a major part of their ineptitude. The Mets wound up trading for Willie McCovey in late 1964, and he remained there until leaving for Dertoit after the 1966 season. Kranepool regained the starting spot soon after and signed with the expansion Royals when he became a free agent (I believe it was 1970).
