I'm going to have to root for one of the non-Pac 10 teams in the west, since my Oregon State Beavers don't have nearly enough major league alumni to be a part of the league and I can't possibly root for their rivals.
This is a fun idea, and I'm enjoying following even if I don't have a specific team to root for.
