None of the Middleweight contenders were prepared to pony up for a fight with the champ this month, so Abrams (champ, 24-4-1) decided he would fight regardless putting on an exhibition for the fans against the lowly Greg Pasko. Pasko proved to be nothing other than a punching bag as Abrams did nothing but land blows on the poor sap throughout the “contest” till the referee stopped the bout in the sixth round.
