HW retirements end of 1910

Only 2 out of the 37 fighters who had a chance to retire did. Both fighters were part of the original group of fighters. Both will have a shot at coming back. 50% the first year, 25% the second year.

Dick Egan finishes 20-19 with 151 pp. He dropped to club in 1902 with a record of 2-7, but reeled off 5 straight wins to comeback to main in late 1903. In November of 1905 he once again dropped to club with a record of 8-13. Then he evened his record out at 15-15 in 1908 to go back to the main division. He got his record to his best mark of 19-16 before losing 3 out of his last 4 fights.

Egan finished with 9 KO's and he never fought for a title. He scored 26 knockdowns and tasted the canvas 17 times. He was also stopped 9 times. He fought 318 rounds in his career. He landed more punches than his opponent (25.5-23.1) but was less accurate (44.5-46.7%)

George Gardner finishes 20-12-3 with only 5pp. He started out at LH and fought for the LH title twice losing once to Jack O'Brien and once to Jack Root. He was 14-7-2 as a LH. He never really found much success at HW. He never really had a signature win either.

Gardner finished with 8 KO's and was stopped only twice. He went 319 rounds averaging 9.1 rounds a fight. He scored 26 kd's and was down 28 times. He out landed his opponents (23.5-21.1) and was more accurate (36.9-33.6%)
