That's probably just bad luck, the engine does not change a bit when playing games manually. Also, the "hold runner" does not mean that the 1B man does not hold the runner when not used. It means the pitcher speeds up his delivery and concentrates a bit more on the runner, resulting in less pitching performance but slightly more chance to throw out the runner... Now there is some very useful info. Thanks! Is there like a % that gets taken off of stolen base success, or just the fact that runners are less likely to go when using the hold runners option (kinda what we talked about on email awhile back)?
