Restating the obvious qualifies as "entirely unhelpful" here in Tech Support, IMHO. And being ambiguous about whether you were talking about "how it works" or "how it's supposed to work" didn't exactly help to enlighten, either.
But if you do feel as though your initial post added something to the conversation or helped out the OP in some way, who am I to tell you any different.
