Texas: The Good, The Bat and The Ugly
The following is No. 16 of a 20-part series reviewing the 2006 All-American Baseball League. Each feature will focus on one team. The Good: Longhorn closer Huston Street recorded 32 saves, second only to Arizona's Trevor Hoffman.
The Bat: All-Star third baseman Grady Hatton batted .275 with 27 home runs and 96 RBIs.
The Ugly: Texas ranked 15th in team batting (.227) and 17th in team ERA (3.52).
Team MVP: Grady Hatton, Third Base (shown below). Hatton was fourth in on-base percentage (.402) and walks (108), sixth in runs scored (91) and OPS (.890) and tenth in slugging (.487).
