1902 Off-Season

Retiring players
Only two guys decide to hang it up after the 1902 campaign. Both were just cup-of-coffee guys anyways.

For the second year in a row, the Tucson Saguaros have the first overall pick. And for the second year in a row, the team selects a pitcher. This time, it's Chief Bender. The right-hander is just 19 years old but scouts like his upside ... NOTE: Tucson's No. 1 pick from a year ago, pitcher Bob Wicker, finished 12-22 with a 4.17 ERA in his debut. Not exactly the splash the team was hoping for -- but fan support remains high...
