New York, NY - The fighters have been announced for the New York State Tournament. The first round of the fight will take place January 1st with the first fight kicking off at 12:01 am. The first round matchups will be the following:

#2 (6) Billy Daniels 5-0 (2) vs #7 (1) Fred Williams 1-3
#3 (3) Arnie Brower 7-0 (5) vs #6 (1) Vic Brown 3-2 (2)
#4 (5) Hubert Hilton 3-1 (3) vs #5 (1) Dick Wipperman 4-1 (2)
There is some controversy surrounding the higher seeding of Arnie Brower over Hubert Hilton. Many feel that Hilton should have been a #3 not a #4 and thus would have had an easier matchup against Vic Brown instead of Dick Wipperman.
