Hmm...that's a good question. The only thing I can think of at present is if you're facing a weak hold pitcher and a weak armed catcher. I once had a runner have trouble on a 20 Hold pitcher and a 12 armed catcher, despite his 100 SP/100 ST attributes.

Maybe instead of "hoping for the best" and working your hitter into a hole while the runner "can't get it in gear", you just send him outright on the first pitch and trust that he can make it.

Still doesn't seem to be too frequent a use, though.

I'm going to start using it all the time to make my runners go to see if I can't get some more insight on it/its effects.
