You're right. I hadn't thought that some of those couldn't be day to day injuries. I opened the injuries file and these injuries can NOT be day to day (no DTD%). 6 of them are possibly season enders (makes sense with 8 month injuries) and most are 60-255 days out.
Strained Anterior Cruciate Ligament
Torn Back Muscle
Fractured Ankle
Ruptured Achilles Tendon
Fractured Elbow
Torn Calf Muscle
Fractured Hip
Torn Hamstring Muscle

No wonder this guy had major ability drops, he had 8 serious (6 possible season ending type) injuries in the same season.
He never gained full health back from his strained rib cage muscle (which is listed as 8% DTD), and at some point for the herniated disc which is listed as 30% DTD.
So it left him listed as day to day, though he should have been unable to continue after the anterior cruciate injury (and any of the other 7), and applied the hit to abilities for the injuries. He's sitting at 11% DTD right now.
I'd say that's a bug.

It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.
