I had a runner on first who took with the pitch as part of a hit and run play. The batter hit a ground ball to 3B. The 3B made a throwing error, apparently throwing the ball "past the 1B." The runner from first only ended up on 2B. Now I can pretend the throw was just in the dirt and was not picked out or perhaps it took the 1B off the bag, but if a throw is so bad that it gets past the 1B, that runner is moving to third if not home...
