Question Fantasy Baseball and OOTP

I've been toying around with the idea of combining fantasy baseball with OOTP to create a near real time baseball league.

The one thing that is missing in running an OOTP league using real players is the fact that the data used to play each game is a year late. For example, say you draft Alex Rodriguez at 3b, you are using a historical Alex instead of a 2007 version of Mr. Rodriguez.

What I want to do is use OOTP to play the games, yet use 2007 stats as the basis for those games. My idea is that every two weeks, each player would get a rating change depending on how well he performed in the prior two weeks real life. This would require each fantasy team to have their lineups set prior to the two weeks that would be used for calculation.

For clarification, let me give you an example. Prior to April 1, 2007, the league would hold it's draft. April 1, 2007 would be the deadline to have your lineups set for the upcoming two weeks. From April 1 through April 15 there would be a two week exhibition season using existing ratings. On April 15, I would take all stats from the previous two weeks Real Life and put them into the game for each players ratings. On April 16, all lineups must be set for the upcoming two weeks. Now, starting on April 17, (giving me time to set up the ratings) the first two weeks of the fantasy league would simmed using the ratings from April 1 through April 15. So on and so forth until the season ended.

I understand this would take a lot of time on my part to continually change the ratings every two weeks but I'm willing to do it if there is enough interest in this type of league.

So what do you say, is this something anyone would be interested in joining?
