Halifax - Detective Vic Langille has pursued his own line of investigation in the Scott case and come up with some interesting facts. Staff at the hotel say the door to the champion's room was locked, but the key was missing. The house dick confided to Langille that the windows were locked. He also says that he saw the body on the bed with the gun in his left hand. Most fans know that Scott was right-handed! When Langille was allowed access to the room, he found cigarette ash on the floor and the stub of a popular turkish cigarette in the drawer of the bathroom cabinet. It is well known that the Englishman did not favour tobacco of any sort. These and other findings have raised serious doubts that Scott's death was suicide.
