I think I will have to do a little legwork on this. I am pretty sure grondball pitchers have lower BA BABIP.
Balls hit in the air are more likely to go for homeruns (and last I checked the league average was about 10% flyballs go for homeruns) which also increase average, not to mention doubles, and basehits.
