I'm confused. Player recalc was designed for purely historical games to recalculate the historic players every so often to produce more realistic results. It essentially restrained
OOTP's own player evolution model in favor of keeping the historicals on more of the same path that they really took.
For historical fiction you're using fictional players with no known history to speak of but set in a baseball universe that mimics how the real world worked. Few HR's will be hit in 1912 in a historical fiction league but by 1922 they'll be flying out of the stadiums. The game will use the real stadiums and adjust them as time goes on as well as real schedules. The only difference will be the players will be a bunch of guys you never heard of. So I'm not sure why you'd use recalc there.
