Problem solved.
The installer made me choose which volume to install it on, but I could also choose an alternate path (i.e. not the default one).
Since I had my copy of
OOTP in a different path, I choose that one. And the mess-up begun.
So I downloaded again the setup file, leaving the default path (only choosing the volume), and then I re-run the installer, once again without messing around with the path.
Everything worked fine this time, so maybe it's better not to alter the default path.
