Prevent roster changes: after switching clubs
I was in charge of a San Francisco franchise for 25 years. Looking for a new challenge, I switched to a different franchise. During those first 25 years, I had checked the "Prevent any AI roster changes" box. When I switched franchises, I did not think to uncheck the box for S.F.
You can probably guess the rest. By Year 27, the club had 6 pitchers and 11 hitters on the major-league roster, some of them injured. Meanwhile, their Rookie League club had close to 120 players on their roster. I only noticed this after Year 27, when the team lost 105 games and I wondered why.
I appreciate that I am not reporting a bug here as much as I am reporting that I am stupid. I should have done the "set all computer-controlled teams to allow AI roster changes." But, since I'm not totally stupid, and since I've been playing OOTP for many years, it occurred to me that I might not be the only one to do this dumb thing, and that there might perhaps be something that happens in the background, to warn someone like me that switching teams in the manner described above will result in screwy rosters.
