Negative Performance Points After A Win

I just wanted to chime in on this topic.

First, I still have an issue with fighters beginning their careers with different PP (0, 200, 1000) THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.

Second, the disappearing PP happens for some. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.

However, I have experienced a fighter getting a negative PP for a fight when he wins a bout. BUT it seems that in my case it only happens when a high rated fighter (say rated 8 or higher) faces a lower rated fighter (rated 1 or 2) when the higher rated fighter is later in his career.

I actually like that happening. It makes me have to be careful who I put a big name fighter in with. He may get an easy win and add a victory or two to his career, but he may slide in the rankings.

This actually makes a little sense to me. It's almost as if a fighter that should be fighting better competition will get punished if he doesn't step it up.

This came into play for me recently. I had a former World champ that was at "post" and closing out his career. He had lost his last two bouts and was barely holding on to a top ten ranking. I wanted to give him another World title shot before he went out. In my Uni you must be in the top ten to even be thought of for a World title shot.

I also didn't like the idea of giving a guy a title shot after losing his last two bouts. So, I put him in with a 1 rated fighter just to give him an easy win. I called myself giving him a tune up bout.

He won and got a -2.47 points for the bout. Which I have since noticed happens often when I put a high Rated fighter in with a Tomato Can after 20-30 career bouts for the higher rated fighter.

You guessed it... he dropped to the number 12 spot. Even after the win. No title shot for him. He finnished his career soon after that, never getting another shot.

I don't know how this neg. PP works for others, but for me it almost makes sense.
