Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, USA, 2-0-0 (2) vs. Dick “Big Chief” Finkbonner, USA, 1-1-1 (1)

Both fighters enter the ring in tip-top shape and are eager to get in on. Rounds one and two go to Jackson but Finkbonner is easily getting inside of his defense to land some good combinations. Rampage does a better job of moving and feinting as he takes another round, 14-0. Round 4, more of the same, 23-4. Finkbonner is able to land and counter successfully here in the 5th, 16-16, but Jackson’s punches seem to have more sting to them. It looks like the “Big Chief” may have taken the 6th by a slight margin although Jackson finished the round off strong. Jackson has his man cornered and unleashes three bombs to easily take the 7th, 30-4. Jackson has really started to land a significant amount of punches here in the 7th and 8th rounds and finally puts Finkbonner away for good at the end of the 8th. Winner by (KO8), Quinton Jackson. Cards: 69-64, 69-63, 68-64, all in favor of Jackson. Punch stats: 45.9% - 44.7% Jackson.
