How to stop an unstoppable team...
I have created a fictional league and have simmed 15 seasons from a start date of 1970 and one team has won the championship 10 times and lost in the World series another two times.
The fictional league uses real towns and cities from the game database and the dominant team is only a small town team - Port of Spain in the Carribean - (the league is based on towns and cities that host International Cricket teams) and is up against other cities (36 teams in the league in total) the size of Sydney, Manchester, Johannesburg, Delhi etc.
The stadiums are also based on real stadiums and Port of Spain is not a big one therefore they should have no obvious revenue advantage.
The league has a revenue sharing agreement and I have tried both TV contracts linked to market size and equal contracts with no change.
I am using in-game finances that move in line with the game year.
I am only simming games as commissioner, not playing any or acting as manager for any team.
My question is, is this just a phenomenon of the game and over more time it should correct itself or are there some league settings I need to think about changing to restore some parity to my fictional game?
