Seems like people don't really know how dominant the Rube was at this particular time, in my historical league, started in 1901, he led the league in strikeouts for the first 8 seasons consecutively, and still has more seasons leading the league in K's than anyone i've witnessed so far (currently in 1963), only Lefty Grove has come close, though i'm witnessing the dominance of Koufax right now, and it's definitely Rube-esque.
His single season strikeout record was 332 and stood until Herb Score surpassed it in 1955 (i'm not counting records set before 1901, only ones set during the time played from 1901 on)
