Flanagan Tabs Jansen as Top Pick in LCL Draft

Pontiac, Ill. (SION)--The Flanagan Falcons selected pitcher Larry Jansen as the No. 1 overall pick in the inaugural Livingston County League draft.
"I'm thrilled to be chosen by Flanagan," said Jansen (shown below). "I hope that I can fulfill the franchise's faith in me."
The first three players chosen were pitchers. Long Point followed by taking Curt Simmons and Blackstone chose Mel Parnell. Outfielder Duke Snider was the first postion player taken. Snider was the fourth overall choice.
