I slightly disagree. I think OOTP 2007
is the best tool for pitting classic teams against eachother and it's fantastic at capturing the feel of using past players. However, I think that with OOTP, it takes a lot of setup time and tweaking to achieve both and that is enough to deter most the big sports writers from utilizing it as a tool to simulate scenarios for their pieces. That's why they always use games like Diamond Mind and, over the last several years, WhatIfSports.com.
