ISBL is an OOTP 6.5 league that has three teams available for the upcoming season.
Tampa Bay finished the 2019 season just below .500 at 79-83. They would be a huge challenge for anybody who like retooling teams. Their minor league is ranked 22nd of the 30 teams.
Andy Marte is probably their biggest piece of trade bait. The 29 year old is signed for 2 more years and is coming of a 40 homerun season.
Oakland was still further back at 71-91, and their minor league is ranked slightly higher at #19. Oakland has 2 very desirable players on their roster. Last years Rookie of the Year
William McGeehan and pitcher
Wade Townsend.
San Francisco may be the most interesting of the bunch. The former GM seemed to be working a total rebuild and then just vanished. Going into the current season, the Giants already had the 3rd raked minor league system. If the current draft, they choose 7 times in the first round. If guided properly, theis team will be an ISBL force in years to come, or through shrewd trading, you can de competitive right away by acquiring veterans.
If you have an interest in any of these teams, please send an email to David who is the league commissioner. His email is
dgvandal@verizon.net or you can send him an AIM at
Pop Out. Please make sure you tell him that the
Blue Jay's GM sent you his way. This is a fantastic league that even though we are going into the 2020 season, David brings in plenty of familiar players into the fold (I just lost a bidding war for Roger Clemens Jr.). David runs live drafts and playoffs and has an interesting Owners Point system which encourages and rewards league activity!
