There always seems to be a delay at the end of the playoffs. I noted this in beta but was never able to find out what it is doing. I assume it is:
Updating all the players history files that won the playoffs
Creating the 'Winners Page'
Writing the news reports
Updating the scouting results
I think (this is a guess) that the majority of the time it takes is updating all of the player's data. Adding the playoff stats, and even possibly aging all of the players.
And who knows what else.
It does take a while sometimes, but I have never seen it lock up there, which is a good thing...
There are a couple other dates that this happens, one is around August. I think the players ratings are also updated every 2 months.
