Ok, I must have copy-pasted the info wrong, because I checked again, and there are no { or } brackets when I open using Firefox.

I re-edited my previous post to reflect this.

Edit: Apparently this is how Firefox handles certain characters

{ = %7B
} = %7D

But you were probably already aware of this. It's no big deal for me. The xml files still open up fine in IE, so I'll use that.
