Hmmm.. I know it is blocking the ROY here. Are you using the default name for the award? I will check the code though.
I installed
VB today and wanted to test it, so I added a quick function to the program. However, I am having trouble publishing it now and getting too pissed to work on it right now. I think I am going to go play some golf today and just say F.... It.
BTW, the option I added is for historical leagues:
It downloads a file I created from the Lahman database that contains all the players and the date when they died. The 1st version shows this: (From my season in 1968)
Dead in 1968: Babe Adams - Rafael Almeida - Fred Applegate - Doc Ayers - Dave Barbee - Turner Barber - Benny Bengough - Al Benton - Hal Bevan - Lloyd Bishop - Bill Black - Lena Blackburne - Jack Bliss - Charlie Boardman - Dan Boone - Henry Bostick - Grant Bowler -
This is historically correct and if you wanted to, you can update the dead.csv file with any new dead people.
This file also contains the month, day, year, country and city where they died, so later, I will add stuff like:
On June 5th, 1968, Hal of Famer Babe Adams passed away in Boston. He will be missed.
For fictional leagues, I have another trick up my short sleeves. I will check for retired people that are between 80 and 100 years old and randomly pick one or two to DIE!! Maybe have 0-8 people die each year, showing their age when they died and some other silly trivia. The program will create it's own file to collect the dead people in it, so no one will die twice.
