Once played on a darts team that called itself the St. James' Jestors because of where Guiness is brewed. Seven of the eight guys on the team drank Guiness. The wife of our pub's owner used a woodburning set to put our initials on wooden clothes pins which we kept on our pint glasses. (Otherwise we would have been reaching for the fullest one as our pint.)
Favored McEwans followed by NewCastle Brown.

Darts....a man after my own heart.
I'm also a big fan of Newcastle. Will never turn down a Stout, either.
That said, if I was two-fisting on 14 and 15, as described by our friend Mike, I think it would have to be with a lighter beer. That many Guinesses would have me cross-eyed. I have to admit that I've been there, but not recently. I have a buddy in Southern California with a refrigerator keg of Guiness always at the ready when I visit. Great beer, conversation, etc., has led to a rather bleak "morning after" or two. I'd like to say that I'm wise enough now to avoid such over-indulgence, but distance is probably the likeliest thing keeping me from it.
We have a local brewer here, Boulevard, that makes an absolutely wonderful Pale Ale I'd put it up against anyone's. The kindda beer you drink simply because it tastes good - nice and hoppy. And their Bully Porter is equally delicious.
If there is a "drinking night" for me these days, it's probably Thursday. I still play softball with some of the same guys I played with back in the early 90's. Tradition dictates a cold one or two in the parking lot after the game. The beer tastes best after we've kicked some butt, which we still manage to do on occasion.
