John Esquivel:
With John Esquivel's induction to the Hall of Fame, an era of baseball came to a close. Esquivel would be the final player taken in the league's inaugural draft to become a Hall of Famer. Aside from that, Esquivel's primary claim to fame was an exceptional ability to hit for average. Although he developed solid power eventually, Esquivel's mark was made with his 2,966 career hits, his 8 200 hit seasons, and his .319 career batting average. Despite not being a prototypical 1B, Esquivel still managed to make 10 All Star teams in his career, including 7 in a row from 2012 to 2018.
