Well, here's an interesting problem that I had to find a work around for. This probably applies to the original Cubby rosters too as this one is based on that one....
When I got this latest roster set, I went in and started a Yankee franchise. I'm into July with this team, and having no problems.
As is typical of my playing style, I decided I wanted to run a Diamondbacks team as well, but I didn't want to have 2 GMs in 1 league.
So I renamed my Yanks save game file from inside OOTPB, then saved a 2nd copy of this roster, took control of the D'Backs and went on my merry way.
But in the Arizona franchise, the game was crashing to desktop every time I tried to progress past April 30th, 2007.
Now keep in mind that my settings are identical between the Yanks franchise and the Arizona franchise, except for the team I'm running and of course player and staff transactions.
But lo and behold, the fix for the Arizona franchise was to turn off scouting, progress to May 1st, then turn scouting back on. When I enabled scouting again, all my scouts were still there and they were still on their assigned scouting trips, so that isn't affected. Whether or not they're starting over is another question.
Pretty strange to have 2 identical saved games, and one works perfectly and the other has problems.
