Not sure if it is an oversight, because if you delete a team from the league because it is no longer participating in the league, but there is player and team history you generally want to keep that history in the game. If the team is deleted totally then there would be nothing to keep that history in the game.

What I think needs to be added would be another button for teams. Have a delete option which permanently removes it and everything that comes with it, and second would be the option to make team inactive. That way you can end the use of a team like say the Maine Guides when they moved to a different location, yet still be able to keep all the stats and history in the game.

So personally I don't want to have deleted teams removed from the database for every team that gets deleted. Now I have been more economical in my creation of teams and leagues so far in roster file that I have been working on so I am only at like 350-400 teams at this point, but most have a reason for being there.

Also I think that part of the problem is that when people are creating the leagues they are doing so by creating a Lahman import and then adding minors to that incorrectly. There is a much better and more economical way of doing so. The best way to do it would be to create a fictional league that is modeled after the majors and then delete the Major American League from it and save as a template. Then do the Lahman import and add the template of minor league teams to the newly created Lahman league and from there you then just have to link the leagues and the teams.
