It was another solid week for the Broncos, as they finished off a four game sweep of the Royals, split a two game set with the Dolphins, and opened a series with the Tigers by splitting the first two games.

Asbel Fuentez won his second career Player of the Week award, by going 15 for 28, with 4 doubles, 2 homers, 3 RBI, and 10 runs scored. Alexis Vazquez, who had finally cooled off from his hot start, started to heat up again, going 11 for 23 with 3 doubles, 3 homers, and 7 runs batted in. Lee Chappel went 9 for 23, with 6 doubles, 6 RBI, 9 runs scored, and 4 walks. Tomas Sato was 11 for 21 with 9 runs batted in.

Two players who did not contribute positively for Denver were Joseph Swayze and Robert McNett. Swayze, a player notorious for his extreme hot and cold streaks, has been ice cold lately. This week, he was a pathetic 1 for 20. Starting pitcher McNett wasn't much better. He made two starts for the Broncos, but pitched a total of only 6 innings while getting blasted for 13 runs.

Milestone Watch:

Hits:

Code:
 # Career Hits H
 1 S. Serrato* 3835
 2 F. Mira 3826
 3 S. Piche 3770
 4 P. Sanchez 3447
 5 C. Romeo 3383
 6 D. Homan 3360
 7 R. Vega* 3345
 8 F. Cobos 3343
 9 T. Guerrero 3301
10 K. Bryant 3294

Ricky Vega moved up another spot on the hit list, and is now only 15 hits away from being tied for 6th all time with Danny Homan.

HR:

Code:
# Career HRs HR
1 D. Murillo 691
2 C. Bohanon 670
3 R. Vega* 648
4 J. Paras 645
5 H. Abad 641
6 W. Byrd 639

Vega has been in a HR drought lately, and reaching the second spot becomes more and more of a longshot for him.

RBI:

Code:
# Career RBIs RBI
1 D. Homan 2255
2 R. Vega* 2254
3 F. Mira 2218
4 E. Quon 2214

As flawed a stat as RBIs are, I believe there is still something to be said for being the all time leader in them. Vega is now just 1 RBI away from tying Homan.

Wins:

Code:
# Career Wins W
1 R. Padgett 339
2 R. Jordan 335
3 R. Mccomas 321
4 S. Narbaiza* 305
5 J. Poss 295
