It does. The last thing OOTP does when closing is save the league that it was running, and, unfortunately, one of the "easiest" ways to break a league is to interrupt this process (data is getting written from memory to your hard disk, and cutting it off can result in incomplete/corrupted files).
There's not a lot we can do about this through the forum. If possible, you should follow the instructions in
this thread and .zip up and upload a copy of your league's .dat files to SI's FTP server. Please make sure you upload the file to the right folder, and that you name it frogger6.zip. Hopefully one of the people that can poke into the .dat files can come along and let you know if it's fixable or not (li'l volunteer that I am, such things are beyond my power
).
