Announcements
Boston (A)
- Announced that they were changing their nickname. They will now be known as the Boston Sommersets.
Cincinnati - Announced that they are moving into a new ballpark. The ballpark will be named Palace of the Fans.
Cleveland - Announced that they were changing their nickname. They will now be known as the Cleveland Bronchos.
Milwaukee - Announced that the franchise was being relocated to St.Louis. St.Louis is now the fourth city in which there is direct competition between both leagues. The other cities are Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia. The team will now be known as the St.Louis Browns.



Free Agency

Cy Young, sp - Signed a 3-year, $142,590 contract with Boston (A).
