They were a talented, big, and fast team. They had a 6'6 325 O-Line guy who has a schollie to UK next year, he was a monster. Nate had 5 catches for 59 yards and a touchdown.

man the bluegrass preps board is filled with a bunch of idiots.
Tell me if I am wrong.
28-19 with 4:20 left to go. BE tries an onside kick and Manual recovers. Manual ball at the BE 47 yd line. On the previous Manual possession they had their backups in. They drove down to the BE 25 and we stopped them on a 4th down. The only time they had the ball the entire game and did not score. So at the 4:20 mark they had only had the ball 5 times. What does that tell you? They ran ball control and dominated the line of scrimmage. They had at that point about 150 on the ground and 100 in the air. (ended with 175 on the ground, 180 in the air)
So at the 4:20 mark they put their starters back in and ran a wheel route, the QB threw the ball to the 25 where the WR caught it and went untouched into the endzone ... obviously we were keying on the run.
At this time we only had two timeouts left.
Lee you are a coach ... was this 1) running up the score ... or 2) the smart call because you were in fear of losing.
I don't care that they were running up the score. They are the #3 6A team and only beating a 4A team by 9 makes them look bad. But one of their fans is claiming that it was the smart call because the game was too close.
Let's say they go three and out... obviously we use our two timeouts and there is 3 minutes left. Still not a great situation for BE but .... we hadn't stopped them all night long, if they get 1 first down the game is over.
