Did Manfred Ackers makeyour tourney? He was another prototypical working man's stiff.
Will (Thunder) always gets a chuckle out of the line 'A veteran of 43 professional bouts' in lieu of calling out a guy's record at some of the cards we've attended.

They are 2 stellar fighters and, while some may give me grief for throwing Danny a lifeline, his fight was the poorest officiating I'd seen! The good news is that you can root for both until near the end, as, if Danny can fight his way back in, they're in opposite brackets!
Ackers didn't make my list. i'm still new at this, and have mainly found US heavyweights, and don't want to encroach on Bear's domain, as he is more disciplined than me, but I do have some logic in how I pursue tomato cans as well! This experience may help me over the hump of creating actual fighters, as I'm getting a better sense from some of yours, and his, and Rocco's and others.
I like Will's response, which reminds me of one we used to get a few decades ago about Dave Duncan, a catcher the Orioles acquired. The announcers went from "the guy who averaged 18 homers a year the last 3 years" to, over a few year period, "the guy who averaged 13 homers a year over the past 6 years". Needless to say, Dave hit only about 10 for us over the 3-4 year period!
